Baker's father emigrated along with Baker to Denver and they lived at the home of his aunt. Baker was bullied by fellow youngsters because of his poor status. His music is a fusion of modern hip-hop, alternative and rock. Before making the move to Bad Boy Records Baker released four mixtapes from 2007 to the year 2010. Then in the latter half of 2011, this Cleveland rapper was a household name after he made the transition from self-releasing mixtapes to working for reputed record labels. His career was on the rise as each albums charted inside the top 10.
