Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell is an American TV personality who is a chef, and a ex-teacher at the Institute of Culinary Education. Burrell hosts Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and also serves as co-hosting Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, with her famous spiky blonde hair and pumped-up persona on the Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Cook series, provides straightforward and simple methods for cooks at home. Chef Burrell is also a veteran of New York City's best restaurants. She has also learned about Italy's food traditions and its culture and the surrounding geography. As a child in the upstate of New York, Chef Burrell developed a passion for food and cooking at an early age. The Culinary Institute of America is where she went after earning an English degree as well as a communications diploma from Canisius College Buffalo NY. I enjoyed every moment of being a student at The Culinary Institute of America she states. I just couldn't get enough pleasure from the experience. Following graduation, Chef Burrell resided in Italy for one year taking classes at an Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. She also worked in La Taverna del Lupo and La Bottega del 30 (a Michelin star restaurant) located in Tuscany. While in Italy she was able to fully appreciate and understand the philosophy of Italian cuisine and culture which has had a profound impact from a culinary viewpoint. Burrell was a Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board members, which strives to improve the quality of life for children facing challenges. Burrell also serves as a Juvenile Disease Research Foundation celebrity spokesperson and promotes awareness about children's diabetes. She speaks about her cooking passion, and also shares her knowledge of the culinary world as she frequently travels throughout the US in the roles of mentors and speakers. Throughout Anne's culinary journey she has always said I feel very fortunate to share what I love most in life with others.
